After a quick walk around the market in Telavi, we set off to visit Alaverdi cathedral, with the tallest dome in the country. Like all Orthodox churches here, the inside is very simple, no ornate decorations, only some murals.
The courtyard has many grave stones with inscriptions in local language, the writings with many curves are so beautiful.
Heads back towards the central northern part of Georgia, landscape changes to green wooded hills.
Next stop is fortified Ananuri church, next to Jinvali reservoir. So nice to see clear blue water. The church complex is huge surrounded by fortified walls with guarding towers.
Last stop is Peace monument
built during the Soviet time, at a strategic location with fantastic
view of Great Caucasus Mountains.
Stay the night at Kazbegi, the hotel in up a hill right in front of majestic Kazbegi mountain.
格魯吉亞四之 風光媲美瑞士？
由南部荒蕪半沙漠回到北部，參觀教堂和古堡，路旁重見油油綠樹，山峰高聳，大約二千米左右，大之字路上山落山，一路上風光秀麗，經過兩個滑雪場，終於來到Kazbegi, 有全國最高五千多米的山。
有說風光媲美瑞士，是誇張了，只可說是似某一小角的瑞士山色。
