Tour of Lofoten, Norway 1/7 -Leknes to Henningsvar to Svolver

Need to take 3 flights to get to airport Leknes in Lofoten area, it is dark and we booked a room nearby to sleep.

In the morning, the mountain view from the window is exactly what attracted me to come this far north west coastline of Norway, a group of small islands with more mountains than flat land.

The 1.5 hour drive to the first sightseeing destination Henningsvar is unbelievable, postcard like scenery all the way.

Henningsvar is a small fishing village with houses built between mountains and sea.

Then an hour’s drive to Svolvær where we will base for 3 nights. The little airbnb flat is up on a slope with an amazing view of Svolvær and the mountains.

Went for a walk to the coastal strip of Svolvær, where there are many giant racks for drying cod in spring time.
