Rovinj is a small, colourful seaside town with a lot of Venetian influence in the architecture.
The sun is bright, the Adriatic Sea deep blue, the soil chocolate brown, trees
dark green.... Of course seafood is good too, mostly caught nearby. I can
either buy in the small fish market with just 4 or 5 stores, or use my very
basic Italian to talk to fishing boats parked near the harbour to see if they
have any catch I fancy. At this time of the year, there are a lot of turbots,
soles, spider crabs, clams, sardines and wild asparagus.
A typical mix grilled fish in the restaurant.
The most common snack - cecapcici, grilled sausage meat.
