First broad bean harvest

On top of picking lettuce leaves and rocket leaves, harvesting broad bean to me is like a milestone, indicating that summer is round the corner, and I can expect to be self sufficient in vegetable very soon.

I like to simply cook the beans in some oil and salt until just tender, the intense green colour of the bean and the sweet taste is so pleasant.
