| Chemin de la Mature |
In the Pyrenees, there is this path
being cut into the cliff in the 17th century, in order to access the forest up
there, for shipbuilding.

The forest was finished in 4 years time and the path
is left into ruin, now being used by hikers. The path is mostly a meter wide but
the drop is huge and steep, not for those with vertigo.
At the end is a beech forest and a cool
river to rest the feet.
