raise beds |
The garden is starting to take shape, a slow process, because main focus is to finish renovating the house. But planting time cannot be missed or delayed, so just finished the raise beds needed for planting berry bushes, broad bean, garlic and onion.
The plan is to have 2 green houses, one for berries and medium size fruit bushes like fejoa, physalis, various citrus, and the other one for vegetables.
Ireland's spring/summer is cool and wet, but there is long day light hours that compensate, most veg and fruits should work well in green houses.
For the first year, planted garlic along the edge in the raise beds, in both outside and inside the green house to check performance.
