Went for a walk along the river, a new walk promoted by a town an hour away. A way to explore new hiking route, and to see if there is a possibility of collecting hawthorn berry.
This is not a good year for hawthorn, difficult to collect flowers in spring in the nearby area, hence have to venture to new areas to find both flowers and berries.
Luckily half of the hedge along the walk is covered with hawthorn plants, with beautiful berries.
Put the berries to steep in the alcohol that has been used to steep hawthorn flowers. The tincture is a well regarded health drink for the heart.
