Today’s target is to drive to Eigersund, to hike up to Trollpikken, for the strange rock formation. It is less than 50km away, but on a mountain road many hairpin turns and with great scenery, we stopped many times and took an hour and half to get there.
The hike is an hour each way, easy uphill on rocky paths. Impressive panoramas of the area with many lakes. On the surface of boulders, it is easy to see the scratch lines left by glacier. Many rocks cracked and split in different ways to form the strange moonscape.
Drove to the coast and along to find fishing spots. The scenery is dominated by farmland, anywhere flat, has soil must be precious in this country.
Went back inland, stay near lake Ravndal.
