Parked next to a lake last night, this morning there was no wind, the reflections were mesmerising.
Driving a bit north to Lysefjord, a scenic one but without any road along the shore. There is cruise tour that travels all the way inside, for a few hours. The first half hour will be exciting, then the rest can be similar.
Instead, took the hike trail up one side of the cliff, for panoramic views.
The route winded through a patch of bilberry (collected a bag) then up boulders, with the help of hand rails and ladders. We reached the first view point , the view is fantastic. The next view point is up even bigger boulders and longer ladders, pretty scary. Decided that we had enough exercise for the day and had enjoyed a good view, headed back down.
Carrying on north passing many tunnels, fjords hopping via short ferry trips, arrived at Ropeid harbour, a fishing spot, in the late afternoon.
In no time my fisherman brought back a good size mackerel.
Tonight’s dinner, seared Norwegian mackerel, home grown veg, and wild bilberry macerated in honey with yoghurt.
