Started raining yesterday afternoon, and no sign of stopping. Hiking or driving in mountainous area is out of the question. So the best is to see a waterfall, there are a few around.
Driving along Hardangervidda , there are high mountains on both sides, the views is dramatic. With the rain, jets of water is rolling down the slopes everywhere.
On the way, at an abandoned old farm now a museum of the old way of living, Mabo garden, picked some small but sweet raspberries. Must be old variety grown by the ladies in yesteryear, must tastier than the modern varieties growing at home. Collected some seeds for planting.
Went to Voringsfossen waterfall, an area with 270degrees view of many waterfalls converging to the same river.
Well lay out, huge parking area, many paths along the cliff, up and down the slopes, and on bridge lead to viewing platforms for a good admiration of the power of water. Took nearly two hours to walk around the whole area.
Most amazing is no entrance fee, no parking fee, free toilets to use, and only a cafe on site.
Stay at the harbour under Eidfjord bridge for fishing and the night.
